Major Project. Presentation One.
Here's some images from Mondays presentation. Didn't quite go over that well. Think that was largely my inability to sell what i wanted to do.
Ill fill you in. I wanted to create 2 characters in Maya. Full facial setups, muscle systems, flex and stretch modifiers the works. I kept it at 2 to give myself more time to get all the kinks out of the characters, but i believe there is room for one more character. At the end of modeling and rigging i would compile a short motion graphic to promote these two characters and what they are capable of.
Sounds good enough ey?
Apparently not. The general response was that of dissatisfaction. They wanted not necessarily more but more in depth research. Why i was making these two characters, what the characters represented, how this piece can be described artistically. All i could come up with as an argument for this was " i like the characters", "It'd be easy for me to do". Lame i know :P curse my brains!
So onward and upward! ill keep researching the ideas BEHIND my characters. Ultimately i might have to come up with an animation of some kind using these characters.

A great projection for animation. I like the use of the mirrors they make it more interesting then looking straight on the carousel

Here's an interesting clip for 21:9 Cinema footage. Its an add for the Phillips cinema TV but its also and awesome clip, and interactive! There are some spots along the timeline that you can click. I'll leave them up to you to explore.
