Major Project. Presentation 2
OK looking much better now, more refined. I have decided to drop the caricatures from the major project and move them to a backup plan. The caricature of Hugh Laurie from House MD i turned into Troy Innocent, my lecturer, Mark Gugglimetti Multimedia lecturer and some student friends. The story there being that each student will show off pieces of work to the lecturers and be knocked back time and time again. The piece was more about modeling from people then animation and storytelling. I continued to draw more and more of the character designs and in the process found myself wanting more background information into the characters lives. I drew up some rough landscapes for the beast, planets, inhabitants, life forms, way of life and also wrote up some information about each. This background information played into my animation, how i wanted the story to be driven, what did i want to show. Thus formulated the story driven technical animation. Whilst still being a technical show piece the characters will be traveling through a narrative, story, an adventure through the world that i have drawn up. This spawned an idea of a book that showcases all the background work that ill be doing for the piece. The character references have been developed into more my own characters. I'll bring more of the story out later for the beast character. Seeing as i dropped the cariacture section of this project i included a spaceship design and a crewman/pilot design for the beast animation.
